A snubbing unit is a hydraulic rig that can do everything a rig can do, in addition to performing under pressure in an underbalanced live well state. With the use of the snubbing unit’s hydraulic rotary, the unit can be employed for fishing, milling, drilling, side tracking or any task needed to remove bridge plugs, cement, or deepen wells.

Snubbing is a process that controls the pressure of oil or gas in order to run or pull tubing, drill pipe, or casing. A standard snubbing unit is used to complete or re-complete live or dead wells. Snubbing is the best choice when conventional draw works are absent.
The self-contained equipment requires little space and can finish the job quickly. The hydraulic system’s precise control over force
protects against overload and allows responsive tool manipulation.
Snubbing is a versatile alternative that can overcome the limitations of other workover systems – wireline, coiled tubing and conventional workover rigs. Snubbing is a faster solution than conventional workover operations.
Snubbing Units can often have the task completed before a conventional workover
operation is even rigged up. Snubbing can offer the same conventional workover services – at a greatly reduced cost to the customer. Milling operations can be faster and more precise with snubbing units due to infinite control of torque and speed of the rotary mounted on the snubbing jack.
The technique of snubbing and stripping, running pipes in and out of a well under pressure without first killing the well, eliminates the use of kill fluids that can damage the producing formation and require costly disposal when a conventional rig is used.

TRIL® Submersible Containers with inhibitors for treatment of Scale, Corrosion, and Paraffin
Deposition in oil wells.
TRIL® was invented and manufactured by L-Reagent, LLC. Founded in 2001, L-Reagent, LLC is a Research, Development and Production Company headquartered in Perm, Russia. To date, L-Reagent has six patents for inventions in the oil & gas industry.
In 2013 L-Reagent mastered manufacturing of highly effective solid inhibitors. TRIL® using the moist chemistry principle, resulting in an increase of the amount of inhibitor in the active capacity of the container. The inhibitor dosing is regulated by the adjustable dosage mechanism.
How Dose TRIL® Works?
- The TRIL® inhibitor is delivered directly to the problem location and is released by coming into contact with the production liquid through a dosing mechanism that is a part of the container body.
- TRIL® inhibitor DOES NOT enter into chemical reactions with the produced liquid, instead it acts as a detergent targeting and coating (creates a film around) salt particles, asphalt-tar-paraffin which are present in the produced liquid, these problem particles are then carried out in a suspended state to be burned off at the refinery.
TRIL® inhibitor also creates a protective film over surface of the downhole pumping equipment that prevents the development of corrosion, deposition, and formation of
- large conglomerates of precipitating particles.
- TRIL® inhibitor will operate along the whole technological chain of oil production, it will continue to be effective up to 20 miles (30 kilometers) from the release location.
Benefits of TRIL® Application
- The main benefit of using TRIL® Containers is continuous production.
- The use of TRIL® Containers leads to reduction in frequency of workovers, solvent flushes, thermal treatments, and oil loss.
- Increase in well cleaning intervals on average by 10 times and in workover intervals by on average of 2 to 3 times.
- It is possible to prolong the container service life by prepacking it with a larger amount of inhibitor than the standard version. With the correct dosage, the effective service life of the container can be made comparable to any downhole equipment.
